Simple Mixed Media Inspiration with Canvas Sheets

One of our favorite parts of the week at FSJ is bringing you LIVE inspiration and education through our Tryday Friday videos. We're on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel each Friday afternoon with a crafty project or two - and today we're featuring a product you may not have used on your cards yet. It's FSJ's Canvas Sheets. Watch the video right here or check out the photos below and learn to add canvas and just a little mixed media into your cardmaking. Isn't that beautiful?   The canvas sheets  create a beautiful textured base to work on and adding the Journey Gesso prevents the ink from soaking in and spreading on the canvas. The gesso does take some time to dry, however.  So you may want to add it to your canvas before you intend to sit down with your stamps and inks! What about the fun diamond pattern?  The Diamond Netting embossing folder adds that really fun pop to the canvas sheet that makes the card so much more special!  Don't you just love that the diamonds aren't consistent throughout - makes it much more unexpected and fun! Adding a little watercolor gorgeousness really makes the butterfly from the Small Things stamp set stand out! Not only is the end result gorgeous, it's fun to do, too. We'll walk you through this gorgeous card step by step, in the  Facebook video.  Then, be sure to hit up our YouTube channel and SUBSCRIBE so you never miss a video! Supplies Used: Canvas Sheets | Journey Gesso | Spatula | White Liner Sheets | Whip Cream Cardstock | Journey Blooms Paper Trimmer | Diamond Netting Embossing Folder | Journey Platinum Machine | Small Things Bundle | Journey Gel Press | Fusion Blender | Cranberry Bliss Re Inker | Watermelon Fusion Re-Inker | Citrus Cooler Re-Inker | Sweet Berry Re-Inker | Brayer | Lovely Blue Liquid Color | Catalina Splash Liquid Color | Blending Brush - Medium
