Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from
My PaperCut Creations! I’m so excited to be guest posting on the Spellbinders blog again today! I’m sharing three cards using the
Dancin’ Halloween Collection! This collection includes three die-sets in which one of the elements swings back and forth and one stamp set that includes sentiments that coordinate perfectly, not only for Halloween but for other occasions throughout the year!! Interactive cards add such a fun element of surprise on cards, don’t you agree?
BONE-AFIDE FUN BIRTHDAY CARD
For my first card, I die-cut the
Dancin’ Day of the Dead Girl Etched Dies from
Royal Amethyst,
Rainforest,
Persimmon,
Saffron,
Snowdrift,
Onyx and red cardstock. I assembled all of the elements together with liquid glue, leaving the head unattached from the body.

For the background, I die-cut the
Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate Etched Dies from
Royal Amethyst cardstock and layered it over a panel of
Rainforest cardstock. I also die-cut two ovals from
Snowdrift and
Persimmon cardstock using the
Essential Stylish Ovals Etched Die Set and layered them over the background. The girl was adhered to the ovals by adding foam tape to the back of the head and placing it over the body, being sure to leave the body of the girl to swing freely.

The sentiment, from the
Dancin’ Halloween Sentiments stamp set, was white heat embossed onto
Onyx cardstock and trimmed into a rectangle. It was popped up with foam tape and this card was finished.

GRIM REAPER HALLOWEEN CARD
I chose to create a Halloween card with the
Dancin’ Grim die set, but how fun would an “over-the-hill" birthday card be? I die-cut the reaper from
Royal Amethyst,
Onyx,
Snowdrift, and
Mirror Silver cardstock.

For the background on this one, I embossed the
Party Spots Embossing Folder onto a panel of
Saffron cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the
A2 Matting Basics A Die Set and adhered it to an A2 panel of
Onyx cardstock. One of the
Essentials Rectangles Dies (along with the dotted inlay) was die-cut from
Snowdrift cardstock and layered over a panel of
Rainforest cardstock that was cut out with the same
rectangle die.

The sentiment, also from the
Dancin’ Halloween Sentiments Set, was white heat embossed onto
Onyx cardstock, trimmed into a narrow banner, and popped up under the reaper with foam tape.

Spooktacular wishes CARD
For my third and final card, I die-cut the
Dancin’ Day of the Dead Boy Etched Dies from
Royal Amethyst,
Rainforest,
Persimmon,
Saffron,
Snowdrift, and
Onyx cardstock.

For the background on this one, I die-cut the largest die in the
A2 Matting Basics A Die Set from
Persimmon cardstock and embossed it with the
Hand Drawn Scallops embossing folder, then adhered it to an A2 panel of
Onyx cardstock. The ovals were die-cut from
Snowdrift and
Royal Amethyst cardstock using the
Essential Ovals Die Set.

The sentiment is once again from the
Dancin’ Halloween Sentiments stamp set. It was white heat embossed onto an
Onyx cardstock strip and popped up with foam tape.
