2 Floral Birthday Card Ideas with the Just Add Cake Cardmaking Kit

Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be sharing two cards today using the Just Add Cake Birthday Cardmaking Kit .

2 Floral Birthday Card Ideas with the Just Add Cake Cardmaking Kit

Both cards feature the Garden Party Etched Dies. I combined them with the shaker domes and sequins on the first card, and for the second, combined them with the mug from Birthday Brew Etched Dies, as well as some extra colours of ColorWheel Cardstock and Gems. I love how you can mix and match the different sets in the kit!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-Vr9IXhi1w&feature=youtu.be For my first card, I created a meadow of flowers using the pink tones of ColorWheel Cardstock in the kit with the Garden Party Etched Dies. I used Chiffon for the card base, Blush and Tutu for the flower petals, Beeswax for the flower centres, and Rainforest for the stems and leaves. There are shaker domes in the kit which can be used to create a shaker for the centre of the large flower – so fun! I added the sequins from the kit into mine, and let me tell you, the sound of the shaker is so pleasing! The flowers were adhered to the card using a combination of Bearly Art Glue and foam squares . The card was finished with a sentiment stamped from the Just Add Cake Clear Stamp Set, stamped onto Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock using black ink. It was die cut out and adhered to the card between the flowers. To finish, I embellished with more of the sequins in the kit. For my second card, I created the flowers the same as the first card, using the Garden Party Etched Dies ( Blush , Tutu, and Beeswax ColorWheel Cardstock), but this time, I used Peridot ColorWheel Cardstock for the stems and leaves. I often feel that Peridot adds some brightness to the mix! I cut the mug from Birthday Brew Etched Dies from Waterfall and Teal Topaz ColorWheel Cardstock and adhered the flowers inside. The hand from the set was cut from Alabaster ColorWheel Cardstock, and the sleeve/arm from Seaside ColorWheel Cardstock . The pieces were assembled and adhered to a white A2-sized card base using a combination of Bearly Art Glue and foam squares . The card was finished off with another sentiment from the Just Add Cake Clear Stamp Set and Pink Color Essentials Gems . I love how adding the flowers into the mug creates a whole different card design, even with keeping to mainly the same products and colour palette. Thank you so much for joining me today. Wishing you a wonderful day!
