Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons.

Oh hey friends! Happy September! If you are anything like me, I bet you’re ready for some changes in weather and in seasons. I love summer but fall is my absolute favorite time of the year so naturally getting some new autumn products to create with, takes me to my happy place. Today’s two cards feature several of the new add-on sets for September plus a few current products. Each one has so many creative possibilities, not just for fall but for year round as well.

The first card uses the new Color Layering Chipmunk set and the Autumn Leaves Fancy Dies. The background, as well as the die-cut leaves, were colored with fall-colored Reactive Inks using ink blending brushes. I also splattered just a little bit of black acrylic paint onto the leaves with a brush. The chipmunk and acorn were so simple to embellish because they used layered stamps, making the variations in colors clean and easy. Die-cutting them out, I adhered them to the front of the card and then stamped the sentiment.

This darling scarecrow was created using the basic Hero Lifestyle Forms Fancy Dies. He was dressed up using the new Hero Scarecrow Lifestyle set. All the parts and pieces were colored with Copic markers and adhered to the Fall Leaves Stencil-embellished background. I framed the entire piece with the Wood Frame Infinity Die frame using Pebble cardstock brushed with Cup O' Joe ink. A sentiment from the Hello Autumn set completes the card.

Happy to have started the season with two new projects. Creativity is waiting. Hope to see your work soon!
