How to Make a Felt Christmas Tree Card
Step 1 – Die Cut the Felt Tree Pieces

Using the Holiday Collection Merino Wool Felt, die-cut:
- Basic stitched triangle from Poppy felt
- Scallop trim from Snow felt
- Large snowflake from Snow felt

Run the dies through the Platinum SIX Die Cutting Machine and prepare all die-cut pieces for assembly.
Step 2 – Die-cut the Interior Stitching Pattern

Use the interior stitching die to create the decorative snowflake stitching pattern on the felt tree.
Step 3 – Prepare for Stitching

Remove any remaining felt pieces from the stitching holes and select coordinating embroidery floss.
For this project, red and white embroidery floss complement the festive holiday colors.
Step 4 – Stitch the Scalloped Base

Using three strands of white embroidery floss, begin stitching the scalloped trim to the tree.
A needle threader can make this process much quicker.
Step 5 – Continue Stitching the Bottom Edge

Starting at the first hole, bring the needle up through the felt layers and continue along the edge.
Work through each hole in sequence to secure the scalloped trim.
Step 6 – Complete the Scallop Stitching

When you reach the end, work back across the row to fill in any open gaps between stitches.
Step 7 – Stitch the Tree Edges

Continue stitching up both sides of the tree using the same technique.

Complete the stitching around the perimeter and stitch the decorative snowflakes in red thread.
Finish by attaching the felt snowflake to the top of the tree with a small red stitched accent.
Step 8 – Create the BetterPress Sentiment

Ink the Festive Forest Press Plate with BetterPress Leaf Ink and place it onto the BetterPress Chase.

Secure a Bisque BetterPress Cotton Card Panel to the Platen and run the BetterPress sandwich through your machine.

Print several sentiments and choose your favorite.

Die-cut the chosen sentiment using the coordinating die.
Step 9 – Create the Gold Bow

Die-cut the Gifting Bow from Matte Gold Cardstock and assemble according to the die instructions.
Step 10 – Build the Card Base

Create the layered card front using:

Mount the layered panel onto a Fern ColorWheel Cardstock base measuring 5" × 7".
Step 11 – Assemble the Card

Attach the completed felt tree to the card front using strong adhesive tape.

Attach the gold bow using foam adhesive squares to create extra dimension.

Adhere the sentiment across the lower portion of the tree.
