Hello, crafty friends! Marie here again from
Marie Nicole Designs. I hope you are ready for some spooky crafting! I'm using the new
Better Press Halloween images to make some simple and fun items!
I first want to say that this was the first time using my
Better Press and I am so impressed by the results! The Better Press plates combined with this cotton paper give such a professional finish! Even just making some simple cards with black ink looks amazing. Let’s take a look!

SIMPLY PRESS IT!
For my first card, I used the
Pumpkins and Ghosts Betterpress plate to press the design into a 4x6 Pebble-colored card panel. This was my first Betterpress impression and WOW! The pictures do not do this justice. The impression from the black ink is so crisp and I love how it is indented into the paper. It feels like a professionally printed card!

I then took a shimmer brush marker and added some opal shimmer to a few of the little images on this card.
To finish, I mounted the 4x6 card front onto foam adhesive and adhered it to a 5x7 card base, which I also added purple glitter stripes to. I think this makes a fantastic card OR you could display it in your home for some spooky sign decor!
LAYER A CARD
For my second card, I used the
Spider Web Background and pressed it into the pebble-colored cotton cardstock again. Then, I layered a smaller layer on top using foam adhesive.

For the top layer, I chose to use the simple image of the ghost holding the black cat from the
Halloween Icons Press Plate and Die set. Our family recently adopted a little black kitten so we love ALL the black cat images now! I just thought this little icon was adorable.
I paired it with the sentiment, “You’re wicked cute”. I just thought it was fitting.
SPOOKY READS
My third make for this post is not a card, but a set of bookmarks. In my home, we cannot get enough bookmarks! Between me reading several books at a time, and my children reading a stack for school, we are always in need of a bookmark to grab.

I used some of the images from the Halloween Icon set again, as well as that amazing skeleton image from the Open If You Dare set. I thought the sentiment was kind of witty on a bookmark, don’t you agree?

So again, I used the Pebble-colored cotton cardstock, cut it into strips, and pressed it using the BetterPress ink and plates. Then, I added an eyelet to the top of each bookmark and then a black-and-white bakers twine. So simple!

I also think these would be a good alternative to Halloween candy if you are looking to give out something allergy-friendly.
That’s all I have for you today! Thanks for stopping by to take a look at the
Better Press Halloween collection. I hope you found a glimmer of inspiration.
Until next time,
Marie Nicole
