Hello there,
Michelle Short here to share some projects with you using the new Carissa Wiley –
It’s My Party Collection. This beautiful collection features lots of balloons! Balloons are great for any type of celebration – birthday, new baby, congratulations, wedding, etc. I have made three projects that all feature balloons in some way.

BRIDE TO BE
My first card uses the
Party Balloons Bouquet Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. I foiled the balloons, as well as the balloon string (three times), onto white cardstock using
Champagne Foil. They were then die cut out using the coordinating dies.

I placed the
Balloon Bouquet Designs Stencil on top and using
Blending Brushes, blended
Wilted Violet Distress Oxide onto the balloons. This stencil is great because you can create lots of different patterns on the balloons. I placed the balloon strings through the slits in the balloons and adhered them to an A2 white card base with thin foam tape.

I foiled the sentiment from the
It’s My Party Glimmer Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, die-cut it out, and adhered it to the card. I then embellished it with white
flowers, gold glitter
leaves, and
Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems.
BIRTHDAY BALLOON SHAKER
For my second project, I wanted to create a fun shaker but thought instead of making it into a card, I would create it as the balloon shape itself. I started off by foiling
Giant Party Balloon onto white cardstock using
Silver Foil.

The pieces were die-cut out using coordinating dies. I die-cut the piece to cut the hole in the balloon to make it a frame, and also cut another to add to the back of the shaker, as well as another balloon string piece. I also cut the balloon from
Clear Acetate Sheets twice.

To assemble the balloon, I adhered the acetate sheets to the frame pieces and then on the back of the front piece, added foam tape around the frame. I placed
Teal Opalescent Sequins inside and then adhered the other frame with acetate to the back. I finished off by foiling the sentiment in the set and adhering it to the front of the balloon.
TIME TO CELEBRATE
My final project for today uses
Party Balloon Garland. This is a fun set that can be used in different ways. I simply stamped the image onto a panel of white cardstock using
Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied
White Embossing Powder and heat set.

I placed the
Balloon Garland & Sentiments Stencil on top and one by one added ink blending to color in the balloons using pink inks. I took the sentiment from
It’s My Party Glimmer Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it onto white cardstock using
Champagne Foil.

I also foiled an accompanying sentiment from
Birthday Unboxing Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set onto pink cardstock using
Champagne Foil. Both were die cut out using the coordinating dies. I popped the congrats word up with three die cuts and adhered the strip using foam tape. To finish off, I embellished it with
Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems.
