Faux Stitching Method
Our first recommendation is to use pens and markers to draw faux stitches. If you’re short on thread, this method can give you a whole new set of colors to use! This method is quick, easy, and a great way to add more detail and color to your crafts. In this example, we used the Uchida Le Pens to draw faux stitches. These markers are fine tipped, perfect to precisely draw on faux thread, and can even be used for other penmanship projects and crafts. Leaving stitched dies stitchless is another look to try out! The empty holes add some dimension and still highlight patterns and designs made for thread. Whether you’re a pro at stitching or a new learner, we’ve designed our stitched dies to look beautiful as they are or to be complimented with colorful threads and flosses. Embellishment Method
Another way to use stitched dies without thread is to embellish the holes with gems and jewels. Adding a sparkling centerpiece to each stitch design such as on the left and right images make for a lovely background. Another option is to cover each stitch hole. This method can add so much texture and glam to your cards. Back Color Method
The possibilities to style stitched die cuts on cards are endless. Adding bright colors or using the same shade as a backdrop behind the stitched die cut is another way to add more color to crafts. This method really brings out the patterns and designs on the stitched die cuts. If you opt to use the same color in the card background, this monochromatic layout makes cards look sleek and sophisticated.
