Video: Watercoloring with Reactive Inks

Video: Watercoloring with Reactive Inks

Hello stampers! I'm so excited to be sharing an easy watercolor idea using the new partner stamp set from Hero Arts and Altenew, Bloom & Grow.

(If you are having problems viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.)

The images and a sentiment from the Bloom & Grow stamp set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with the Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Hero Hues Reactive Inks in Lemon Drop, Creamsicle, and Fruit Punch were applied to the design with a water flow brush. I first pressed the ink pads on a mat and created a "watercolor" with water and applied the color to the images with the water brush pen.

Hero Hues Reactive Inks in Key Lime Fizz and Green Apple were applied in the same way to the leaves.

Once the flowers and leaves were completely dry, Pool Party Reactive Ink was applied to the background to make the sentiment and flowers pop!

The card was finished with a scattering of Ombre Sunshine Sequins.

I hope this has inspired you to try using your Reactive Inks as watercolors. Thanks for joining me today!

Your instructions are wonderful and help me to understand better to water color. I love how the blue background pops the blossom!

It’s beautiful! I was fascinated by how you added the background color last.
