March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway

March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the March My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, March 4 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We will be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as the new optional add-on products that will also be available on Monday. Stay tuned for more inspiration all weekend long! Now let's join Caly for a first look at this fun aquarium-inspired kit.

This month’s MMH kit is so much fun! Today, I’ve decided to create an infinity shaker – a full, border-less shaker card – because I wanted to maximize the space on this card to see all the details of the aquarium scene I’ve created.

First, I created my background using the Blue Water Reactive Ink provided in the kit using a Life Changing Blending Brush. After blending an A2-sized white card panel, I splattered the panel with some water to remove ink and add texture. To create a sand floor, I cut a thin strip of cardstock and colored it with Copic marker E31, then dotted it with E55 and E25 to give it the sand look.

I stamped all my images using a variety of Ombre Inks and die cut the images using the coordinating dies in the kit. The sentiment is stamped using Versamark ink and embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder. Then I arranged the different images all over before forming the shaker.

To create this infinity shaker, you can use a storage pocket. I actually used a simple stamp/die package that I had on hand. You can wrap your pocket around the card panel and adhere it to the card panel’s back, or you can create a pocket like I did using a photo fuse tool. I used the tool to fuse the front and back clear plastic together around the card panel and before sealing the final edge, I added Seashore sequins. This creates a super fun shaker edge to edge.

Hope you enjoyed this!

The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, March 4, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

What a great idea to make an infinity shaker instead of a regular shaker.
