It's our final countdown post before the release of the March My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons tomorrow, Monday March 2 at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern! As soon as I saw this kit, I fell in love with the tree image. I wanted to use that as my focal point for today's card, so I kept the card very clean and simple to let the tree shine through!
I first took a panel of Hero Hues Dove White Cardstock and using the Mini MISTI for placement, I stamped the solid layer of the tree leaves using Thistle Reactive Ink. I stamped this twice to get the colour coverage I wanted and then stamped the second stamp layer on top. This time using Grape Slush Reactive Ink.
I placed the tree trunk in the Mini MISTI and then stamped it using Charcoal Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. I love the combination of the grey with the purples. I took the sentiment from the main stamp set and stamped this on top using Intens-ified Black Ink. The panel was adhered to a Dove White Top Folded Card with foam tape and then I added a few gemstones around the sentiment.
