Hi there! As we head into the long and hot days of summer, many head for the water. Today, I am sharing about making waves at home, in a stay-crafty-cation of sorts!
Alcohol inks are a great way to create a watery background. I liberally applied several drops of an aqua color, along with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol to an alcohol ink cardstock panel. I tilted it to spread the color and then repeated with a blue shade. It looked like a hot mess, but I knew that with a few splatters of gold metallic alcohol ink and a die, it would be perfect!
I die cut the panel with the Wave and Sea Confetti Die. The die happens to be out of stock as of my writing this, but each month the My Monthly Hero add-ons become a part of the regular Hero Arts line and are replenished. I completed the card by creating a Snow Layering Paper frame with 2 of the larger Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies. I then colored the adorable critters from Seal Of Approval with warm gray Copic markers and die cut them. I adhered the seals and ball over the sealiest white embossed sentiment. I applied the finished panel to a Snow Folded Card.
It is bittersweet that the June My Monthly Hero card kit sold out so dang quickly this month. It broke records around here! I am glad it was so popular and sad that many who wanted it missed out. Love the card. Really wish you guys would sell the ocean waves Stamps in the June 2018 kit separately. I just love them.
