August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the August My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, August 7th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We’ll be here all weekend long, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. And don’t forget to comment on each and every post as we’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches! Here’s Jess with a first look at the kit!

Good morning! I’m so excited to introduce you to the August My Monthly Hero kit…it is absolutely STUNNING! If you know me, you know I love anything sparkly or shimmery and this kit was just made for me!

Love You More Than All the Stars by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero ArtsI adore the stamps and dies in the kit but fell hard for the gorgeous included sprays! They’re simply kinda magical! To create my cards I started by spritzing both sprays across a white card panel and a navy blue panel. On the white panel the blue spray shows as a true navy blue and the white spray shows as a shimmery clear! But on the navy panel, the blue spray shows as a dark platinum and the white spray shows as gold!?! It’s like magic!

Love You More Than All the Stars by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero ArtsI let the panels dry completely and then I prepped them both with a powder tool. Then I stamped the sentiment and spray of stars with Versamark and heat-embossed them with silver embossing powder. Then I added a few of the additional stars and accents with Versamark and heat-embossed them with gold embossing powder. Finally I stamped the moon on a piece of white cardstock with Versamark, heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder, and used the coordinating dies to die-cut it. I adhered it with foam mounting tape and added a little Spectrum Noir clear sparkle for even more shimmer!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, August 7th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check back all weekend long for additional countdown posts with more inspiration and more sneak peeks!

Wow! I am so excited to receive my August 2017 kit, the cards you made are beautiful and I now have an idea for using this kit to make the cover for a bookbinding project. I cannot wait to see the full kit in Monday!
