Waving Hello

The new Brushstroke Alphabet set allows you to create custom sentiments for any card! Today I have paired it with the Abstract Waves Stencil to create a card that makes me want to whisk away to the beach and relax in the sun.

I wanted to create a gradient of blues for the waves, so I mixed white embossing paste with some Hero Arts Bold Inks. To do this, I put down some ink directly from the pad onto a craft mat and then used a palette knife to mix in the embossing paste. For this card I used Aegean, Deep Ocean and Aquatic inks. Once all three colors were mixed I applied it over the stencil, overlapping just a bit so the colors would blend nicely.

Once the embossing paste was dry, I added my sentiment using the Brushstroke Alphabet set. The letters in this set are so easy to line up and you end up with a message that you would never know was pieced together from individual letter stamps.

I mounted this panel to a Pool Notecard and added some Glossy Accents “water drops”.

I love the simplicity of this card and how it has a such a calming feel. Hopefully it will make the recipient just as happy!
