Turn the Page Journal Ideas - Vintage Memory Album with Esther Glas Collection

Hello everyone! It’s Emma Williams here, and I’m really excited to be sharing a Turn The Page Journal project with you today. As soon as I saw Esther Glas’ beautiful collection of dies, papers, ephemera, and the stunning Dark Roast Binder, I was instantly inspired to use some vintage photos and design double-page layouts, where every face tells a story. So, please enjoy taking a look through these pages as I share photos and details of how they all came together.

  1. For each page you add to your journal, die cut a piece of white cardstock using the page die from the Keepsake Capsule Page Etched Die Set. With the same die, die cut a selection of papers/card from the Reminiscence Book, choosing a design for the front and back. Remember these pages create a double-page layout, so you will need to choose co-ordinating paper.

  1. Adhere each of these papers to the front and back of the white die-cut card panel to create your double-page journal spreads. Add hole reinforcers to the pages, cut from paper or card, using the die in the set.

  1. Use the Keepsake Capsule Borders Etched Dies to die-cut index tabs from papers in the Reminiscence Book. Adhere and fix these down the sides of each of the journal pages. The pages are now ready to start embellishing with each story.

  1. In preparation for using on your pages, use Archival Inks, colours of your choice, and ink up the Keepsake Strips Clear Stamp Set to stamp the word border strips onto papers from the book.

  1. Begin to create a header page for the journal by cutting letters from black card, using the alpha die in the Keepsake Capsule Page Etched Die Set. Adhere these letters at the bottom of the page to create the ‘Every Face Tells A Story” quote.

Adhere the girl in the yellow dress from the Book 10 Cardstock Die Cuts to the page, positioning her to stand on top of the composition label, cut with scissors from the Reminiscence Book.
