Use Stamps and Fancy Dies to Create a Scene

Hello! Jen Kotas here and I’m sharing how I created this scene card using a stamp set combined with a fancy die. The Floral Wreath Fancy Die was the perfect size to frame the images from the June Clear Set + Dies of the Month and also be a part of the scene.

1. Stamp images from the Clear Set + Dies of the Month using Intens-ified Black ink, then color with alcohol markers and cut out with coordinating dies.

2. Stamp the brick image from the Clear Set + Dies of the Month with Granite Core ink on a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock. Blend over image with same ink.

3. Mask off brick image, then blend over remaining panel with Mist Core ink.

4. Stamp the Mini Hearts Bold Prints with Mist Core ink using second generation stamping technique.

5. Place the birdbath and bird on panel with thin foam squares.

6. Die cut the Floral Wreath Fancy Die from Deluxe Smooth White cardstock, then color with alcohol markers.

7. Add a small piece of foam tape behind the flowers from step 5, then add Precision Glue to the rest of die cut. Place die cut on panel.

8. Before glue dries, add second bird between vines.

9. Stamp sentiment with Intens-ified Black ink, cut out with coordinating dies and add to panel.

10. Add yellow translucent enamel dots from Translucent Sunset Hero Hues Enamel Dots.

11. Add panel to an A2 card base and finish with white gel pen highlights.

The Garden Gate Cover Plate would also work for this scene. You could even lay the wreath over it. Use the Hero Studio June Card Kit of the Month to add even more style!
