September My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

We have one more post to share today, featuring our Halloween and Christmas themed add-ons to the September My Monthly Hero kit, launching Tuesday, September 6th at 1pm eastern. This time Sally is joining us. If you know Sally at all, you know that when she's given new stamps to play with, the ideas begin to flow!

I was excited to see the new add-on set DC197 Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut in my box of September My Monthly Hero goodies. I love making Halloween cards! I just sat down and played! I combined the Halloween stamps with the main kit to make a wreath. The word die in the add-on makes a great message for Halloween cards. I especially had fun with the pumpkin dreaming of candy corn - don't we all dream of candy corn??

For this quick and easy Halloween card, I die cut the message from black paper and then mounted over orange. It's hard to see that in the photo, it looks like I just die cut the message in orange - but doing it the other way gives a fun bit of dimension to the card!

The optional add-on with the Christmas theme - DC195 Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut - is also fun to combine with the main kit to build Christmas wreaths! First I used our new hero_product_link sku="DI199" text="Infinity Circle Dies"] to make a tag, combining it with the little fastener from the hero_product_link sku="DI197" text="Infinity Tag Dies"] set. Tiny cut circles make great "berries"!

For this last idea for today, I doubled up one of the wreaths from the main kit, then used the holly leaves from the add-on, stamping in different shades of green for interest.
