Quick Stenciled Cards

There are two cards that I seem to always need - birthday and thank you cards. Because I'm always needing them, sometimes it's in a bit of time pinch, so I love having quick and easy designs on hand.

For today's two quick cards, I used the Tree and Leaf Confetti Die as a stencil. For the first card, I die cut it simply out of scrap cardstock, taped it temporarily to the card base, and then blended Summer Sky and Indigo inks.

I did this again on the top of the card, and then finished it off with a sentiment from Blessings Stamp & Cut stamped in black.

My second card takes a little more time to make, but if you make lot of these backgrounds ahead of time, you add whatever color and sentiment you want later.

For this card, I did the same stenciling technique as before, but this time I used modeling paste and let it dry for a couple hours. After it dried, I put another stencil on top, and added Grape Juice and Orchid ink.

To make sure that the ink didn't come off later, I topped it off with some clear sparkle embossing powder and heat set it. This also gives a nice extra shine to it!

I topped it off with a sentiment from Thank You Messages, heat embossed in white, I already had made from a previous project (this could be a great way to use up scraps!)

I hope you enjoyed these two quick, different takes on a fun die!

Thanks for stopping by and God bless!
