Love You To The Moon & Back Masculine Card

When trying to come up with a great masculine card design sometimes a striking background is all you need! I used one of the new add-on backgrounds from August MMH release – the It’s Just A Phase Bold Prints one and simply heat embossed it in white onto black.

I am running very low on my white embossing powder and thus I didn’t have enough to cover each image perfectly. I didn’t quite like this result at first, but upon closer look I felt like this represented the moons even better – moon isn’t a solid white circle, there are light and dark areas and having those imperfect embossed images made my background even more real!

To create a sentiment for my card I decided to use Hero’s Luggage Tag stamps and coordinating dies and stamped Love You in Deep Ocean ink. To create “To The” & “Moon & Back” I used words from the Mewn Back stamp set and stamped those onto banners created using Flags Stamp & Cut set.

I trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ inches and foam mounted onto an A2 white card base. Next, I foam mounted “Love You” and finally added “Moon & Back” banner on top.

Have fun stamping!
