February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

It's time for our next countdown peek! The February My Monthly Hero kit will be available tomorrow, Monday, February 3 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join Janette, who is sharing a final peek at this month's all things birthday kit!

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays! Between myself and four daughters, we go through a gaggle of birthday cards. I love a kit that has everything I need to create simple cards for when time is short and more intricate cards for when I am in need of some serious craft therapy.

You've already seen several beauties over the last few days that are more detailed in their design and execution. They are beauties! If you've missed them (tell me it's not true!) you can find them on the Hero Arts blog. I'm sharing a quick and simple version for those last minute - the card was needed... yesterday, moments.

Achieve this look by ink blending Blue Hawaii and Pool Party Reactive Inks on an A2 panel of Dove White cardstock. Reactive Inks blend like a dream and can quickly create bold or soft color, seamlessly!

Allow to dry naturally or a quick hit with a heat tool will do the trick. Lightly dust surface with antistatic powder. Then emboss with Watermark ink and White Detail powder.

Kit Tip: Dies are included with the kit that cut out individual elements from the larger clear stamped images. Those balloons and darling cupcakes? Yes (and more), indeed!

Stamp gift in Intensi-fied Black ink, color with BG000, BG01, C1 and C0 Copic markers, and die cut image. Create a gradient birthday greeting by inking up the top two thirds of the sentiment with Pool Party Reactive Ink and the bottom two thirds with Blue Hawaii. The overlap of color makes a smooth transition. Pop both elements onto blended panel with foam tape and adhere to folded card base.

Thank you for spending your time with us at Hero Arts today! Come back tomorrow for the full reveal and to see if you might be the winner...

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, February 3, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Your blending is amazing!!! I have a hard time with using just one color! =) Love how you embossed the background stamp in white. Really makes it pop! I’ll have to give the gradient inking a try!!! Well done! Thanks so much for sharing with us!!!
