April My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 and Giveaway!

We're back for another countdown post, leading up to the release of the April My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, April 2nd at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Don’t forget to comment on each and every countdown post as we’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches! Here’s May with another card using the kit...

Hello, crafty friends! It's May Park here with a fun birthday card featuring my all-time favorite cardmaking technique: stamped backgrounds!

I started by stamping the images from the main kit with Intense Black Ink on an A2 size top folding white card base. Then I colored my images with Copic markers and added some dots between the images using the fine tips of green markers.

I stamped two sentiments from the main kit using Versamark Watermark Ink on a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed them using White Detail Embossing Powder.

After cutting out my sentiments into thin banners using a craft knife and ruler, I mounted the sentiment banners on the card front using 3M foam tape to add dimension.

To finish off my card, I added some dots on some of my images using a white gel pen. That's all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to come back tomorrow for more sneak peeks!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all the countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, April 2nd, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
