Today, I’m working with some products from the
Yana’s Bloom collection. I absolutely love everything that Yana has created so far, so I was super excited to work with the products
Thank You Card with Magnolia Glimmer Blooms
For my first card, I decided I wanted to trying foiling on acetate for the first time. I used the glimmer specialty
clear film sheets from Spellbinders, the
Magnolia Glimmer Blooms hot foil plate, and
Magenta foil. Since I was using acetate, I decided to make a shaker card.
While I had my glimmer hot foil machine out, I also foiled the other elements. I foiled the big Thanks sentiment from the
Splatter Sentiments set, the hexagon frame and the “for your friendship” sentiment from the
Geo Foliage set. Next, I diecut them with some of the coordinating dies. I glued the magnolia foiled acetate sheet behind the hexagon frame.
On a white A2 sized card base, I added a little pink ink blending for a bit of interest behind the acetate. I piled some sequins and seed beads from my stash to the center of the cardbase. Then, I added foam tape to the back of the hexagon acetate piece, and adhered it on top of the cardbase. I adhered the two sentiment pieces to the top right of the card. To finish off the card, I added
pink gems.
Friendship Card with Magnolia Bouquet
For my second card, I used the
Diagonal Glimmer Stripes background hot foil plate, the
Magnolia Bouquet hot foil plates, and the “happy” sentiment from
Yana’s Layered Script Sentiments.
I foiled the diagonal stripes using
Rose Gold foil on pink cardstock. I foiled some of the
Magnolia Bouquet pieces using Rose Gold,
Magenta, and
Viridian Green foil. I also foiled the “for your friendship” sentiment onto a piece of
vellum. I diecut the florals with the coordinating dies, and I diecut the striped pink cardstock and sentiment vellum with a couple of the A2 matting basics dies. Next, I diecut the “happy” sentiment from silver glitter cardstock, and 2 more times from white cardstock. I glued them stacked together for a more dimensional look.
To put the card together, I adhered the striped background piece to a white A2 cardbase. Then I adhered the vellum, making sure to only add glue where it would be hidden. Next, I adhered the “happy” sentiment. I added a little bit of ink blending to the floral pieces, then adhered them to the card with varying thicknesses of foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a few pink gems.
Birthday Card with Magnolia Blooms Die
For my third card, made an almost monochromatic card. I used the
Magnolia Blooms die, and
Yana’s Layered Script Sentiments.
I hot foiled the “happy” sentiment from the
Splatter Sentiment set with Magenta foil, diecut it, and set it aside. Then I diecut the
Magnolia Blooms die several times from pink cardstock. I also diecut the “birthday” sentiment from silver glitter cardstock and white cardstock. I diecut the Outline of the birthday sentiment from Magenta cardstock. Next, I started gluing. I glued the sentiment pieces stacked together. Then, I glued the Magnolia Blooms to another piece of pink cardstock, created a textured background panel. Once I had enough of the magnolia diecuts glued to the pink cardstock, I diecut it using one of the A2 nesting dies.
To put my card together, I adhered the magnolia background piece to a pink A2 sized cardbase that I made using the exact same pink cardstock. I then glued on the scripty “birthday” sentiment, and then the “happy” sentiment strip. To finish off my card, I added pink gems.
