Two Simple Ways to Wrap Your Gifts with Style

Hello everyone! It's Galina with you today. Gift-giving is a joyous act that brings smiles to both the giver and the recipient. But have you ever thought about turning the gift-wrapping process itself into a delightful experience? In this post, I'm excited to share some creative and enjoyable tips to add an extra layer of fun to the art of gift wrapping. Whether it's for a special occasion or just to surprise a loved one, these ideas will help you turn the wrapping process into a memorable part of the gift-giving journey. So, let's dive into the world of creative gift wrapping and make each present a work of art.

Botanical Style Gift Wrapping

If you've got some 'busy' patterned wrapping paper in your stash, like the Flora Gift & Creative Papers Vol 85 from Pepin Press, don't let those small leftover pieces go to waste! These little gems can add a touch of charm to your gifts when combined with one-color wrapping paper or even classic kraft paper.

Another fantastic way to elevate your gift-wrapping game is through foiling. Personalize your presents with a touch of elegance by crafting a custom tag adorned with shimmering sentiments. You can achieve this look with the Assorted Tags and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold.

To add that perfect finishing touch, consider using wax seals to adorn your gift boxes and neatly secure all those decorative ribbons in one elegant embrace. For my botanical-themed gift boxes, I choose gold-colored wax beads to harmonize with the golden foiling on the tag. To create this cute wax seal I used Wax Seal Starter Kit From the Sealed by Spellbinders Collection. The process was simple; I melted four gold wax beads and poured the liquid wax onto the silicone mat. Then, I used the metal stamp from the kit to impress the image onto the wax.
Tip: You can mix different colors of wax beads to create stunning, multicolored wax seals.
Also, I used matching ribbons and cords to decorate the gift boxes. Big box: Vivant Lurex Rust Cotton Cord, Vivant Circle' Gold Metallic Cord, Vivant Double Face Satin Steel Blue Ribbon, Spellbinders - Red Cord #10. Small box: Spellbinders - Red Cord #10.

Tip: Add an extra touch of charm to your gift box by using your favorite floral die cuts and matching colored cardstock.

Glamour Style Gift Wrapping

When I'm wrapping gifts for a dear friend, I love to use single-color wrapping paper. It opens up a world of creative possibilities! Dark shades, in particular, can help you achieve a stylish and dramatic look for your gift wrap.

For example: Stamp delicate flowers on the wrapped box using Clear VersaMark ink for a subtle, tone-on-tone monochromatic effect. It's a simple yet elegant way to enhance your gift's visual appeal.

Attach ribbons below the stamped flowers using a small piece of double-sided adhesive tape. I used Vivant Double Face Satin Fuchsia Ribbon, Vivant Circle' Rose Gold Metallic Cord, Vivant Texture Dark Rose Narrow Ribbon.

Cover the ends of the ribbons with the white pearlescent wax seal. Melt 4 beads of Pearl White Wax Beads from the Sealed by Spellbinders Collection. Pour the liquid wax onto the silicone mat. Use the metal stamp from the kit to impress the image onto the wax. To make the sentiment stand out on the wax seal, simply trace the textured parts with a Decocolor by Uchida Premium Gold Metallic Marker.

Tip: Why not take it a step further and create a matching color wax seal for the card that accompanies the gift box? It's a lovely way to tie everything together and add a personalized touch to your gift-giving experience.

In summary, gift wrapping is a chance to get creative and show extra thoughtfulness. Whether you're using patterns or monochromatic styles, the details matter. From custom tags to charming wax seals, each adds to the joy of giving. Your gift presentation is a gift in itself. Happy wrapping, and may your gifts bring joy!

L,

Thank you so much. I’m using wax seals on a mirror to hold table seating locations for my son’s wedding and am hoping one of your suggestions will work.

Yana Smakula,

Oh that’s easy! First, you can pour them directly onto your project. Another option is to pour a little bit of wax onto your project and use that as means to adhere the seal. We also have special adhesive circles to help you adhere your wax seals onto any project – https://spellbinders.com/products/sealed-wax-seal-adhesive-circles-from-the-sealed-for-summer-collection?pos=2&_sid=6a59a8104&ss=r and lastly, you can always use a big of glue! We hope this helps :)

L,

Love the idea of adding hot wax seals to packages and cards but how do you adhere them since they’re poured on a silicone mat?
