Kyoto’s Sakura Season

Hey Crafty Friends, it’s Amy Tsuruta, and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog featuring the gorgeous Spring in Kyoto Collection by Alex Syberia Designs. I am so excited for this collection.  My favorite international vacation place is Japan. The food, the culture, and overall natural beauty is amazing. Spring in Japan is beautiful, especially if you can catch the cherry blossoms sakura in Japanese]. My first card is almost an all white card, which is definitely a challenge to photograph. Kyoto’s Sakura Season, BP-290, E3D-128 The Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder is absolutely gorgeous.  I used it with a BetterPress Porcelain card panel. The Cherry Blossoms BetterPress Plate & Die Set were inked in Black on Porcelain. The sentiment is from the Kokeshi Dolls BetterPress Plate & Die Set. Everything is stacked onto the Essential Modern Oval. Next up is another card that features the Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder. Kyoto’s Sakura Season, S4-1455, E3D-128 I love how striking the dry embossing is in black. The Kokeshi Dolls Etched Dies have two different hairstyles. I even dry embossed her kimono.  The sentiment is from the Blossoms & Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Dies. The Emerald Cut Label has been cut from vellum. My final project features the Parasols BetterPress Plate. Kyoto’s Sakura Season, BP-289, BP-290, BP-292 I love how the Parasols look on the Cascade cardstock with Black BetterPress ink. The blooms and sentiment are from the Blossoms & Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Dies. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I adore this beautiful collection and I can’t wait to see how you’re inspired.  You can find me over on instagram @craftee1.
