More Citrus Inspiration: You Sure Are Sweet!

Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you for this afternoon's inspiration, and I have a clean and fresh project using the beautiful Orange Blossoms stamp set. I love vivid Copic colored images on a clean white background with pops of black, and that's what I was going for on today's project! Let's get started with all of the details.

I began by stamping the orange bunch and a few individual oranges, blossoms, and leaves from Orange Blossoms using Intens-ified Black Ink on some white, Copic-friendly cardstock. I then used my Copic markers to add some vibrant color to the images, finally die cutting them with their coordinating Frame Cuts.

Next, I trimmed a strip of white cardstock and stamped the greeting, also from Orange Blossoms, on one side. I then trimmed a slightly wider strip of Pitch Black cardstock and adhered it behind the sentiment strip to create stark strip of black on top and bottom. I love the contrast of the bright white and black!

Once I had created all of the components, I assembled the card. I first adhered the matted sentiment strip on a white, A2 card base using foam tape. I then draped the oranges, blossoms, and foliage down the card front. I think it looks like an orange tree branch bursting with juicy citrus fruit! To further incorporate the little dots on the stamped oranges, I used a fine-tip black pen to add a few black dots around the bunch of oranges. This technique also helps to fill in any blank areas that might need a little extra attention!

Well, that's all for me today! I hope everybody is staying safe, eating some vitamin C, and enjoying a bit of crafty time during all of this craziness! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous week!
