Video: Creating Floral Borders

Hello to you on this fine Monday! Janette here today to share a video on creating floral borders with the Beautiful Day Agapanthus clear stamp set on the new Hero Hues Pebble cardstock.

The floral elements colored very simply create drama when repeated along either side of the card. The video below shows exactly how I went about that. Join me!

If you have any trouble in the viewer above, please try watching HERE on YouTube.

Begin by stamping the upright bloom from Beautiful Day Agapanthus along each side of the A2 Hero Hues Pebble cardstock with a MISTI Precision Stamp Tool . Start with the image in the middle and allow it to slightly overhang the cardstock. Stamp with Copic friendly Intense Black ink. Then adjust the cardstock panel up or down, and tilt to nest in the next image without overlapping. Patience and a keen eye for detail will make for perfect placement. The MISTI makes all the difference! If you are still unsure, place acetate over the Pebble panel to test the image. Repeat to complete borders.

Copic color images in V25, V06, V17 and BV04. Very simple, one color blooms will do the trick! Then add dots of white Gelly Roll to the anthers of the stamens and the tiniest buds. White heat emboss sentiment on Hero Hues Plum cardstock and mount with foam tape. Apply panel to folded card base and add Nuvo Dream Drops in Cloud 9 for an iridescent pop of white. Place project in a safe place to dry overnight.

Thank you for following along today. Have an amazing week and we'll see you soon!

Helen,

This card is so lovely, Janette. Using this floral for a border works so well and your color choices are just right for this flower. I’ll be giving this idea a try for sure. Thanks for sharing it.

Cindy C.,

This is absolutely a delight!!
