November My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

November My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

We are back with another look at the November My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, November 6th at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more project inspiration! Now let’s join Ilina, who is sharing another look at this fabulous kit.

I hope you are enjoying the Countdown to Creativity posts so far and you are excited to see the full kit and add-ons on Monday! For today I have another idea/project to share with you using the main kit. I made some tags that can be used as ornaments, too.

I started by stamping my images on Snow layering paper. For the tree I used the Lime to Forever Green ombre ink pad, for the star Tide Pool ink pad, and for the ornament I used the Strawberry Bold ink and over-stamped with the Delicata Gold Glitz ink cube provided in this month's kit to get some shimmer. After I was done stamping the images I die cut them, and die cut same shapes from Snow layering paper and acetate. Next using the smaller dies from the kit (for the ornament and star) and the add-on Tag Frames Infinity Dies (for the tree) to cut windows on the stamped images. As well I cut the window shapes from some fun foam.

To stamp the sentiments perfectly centered, I positioned the back part (snow die cut) and the window die cut ( the stamped image) on top of each other and stamped in the opening using the Delicata Gold Glitz ink cube that comes in the kit.

Once I had all the elements I assembled my tags/ornaments without adding the sentiment layer, added some Frost and Champagne sequins and then adhered the last/back layer. I added gold string to finish it off.

If you would like to use them as ornaments and don't want to see the white back, you can make two of each and adhere them together back to back. Or you can make two of each except the back layer and stamp on both sides of the back layer, then assemble them. There are so many possibilities!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, November 6th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for another look at this month's kit!
