March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway

March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome back to the countdown to the release of the March My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, March 2 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let's join Channin for another fabulous sneak peek!

Hello friends! It's Channin here with a new card idea featuring the March 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit.

I love designing cards with every one of the HeroScape sets! I enjoy experimenting with color combos and I find stamping the depth and dimension of the scene so satisfying and rewarding! So when I saw that Hero added to the HeroScape line with this My Monthly Hero kit I jumped for joy!!

For this card, I started with the landscape, stamping the first layer in Key Lime Fizz Reactive Ink. I then stamped the second layer in Green Apple Reactive Ink. Next, I felt like my colors were too bright so I then stamped the first layer again but this time in Fog Reactive Ink to dull the colors. I then die cut my landscape out using the matching die and trimmed off any remaining portion of white with a paper trimmer.

Next, I stamped a rock garden and the lanterns in Soft Granite. I stamped first layer of all these images in Soft Granite Shadow Ink twice. I then stamped the second layers in Soft Granite again, but this time 4-5 times to make the second layers much darker. I die cut the lanterns out with the matching dies and fussy cut the rock garden out.

Next, I stamped the first layer of the tree in Moss Bold Ink. I then stamped the second layer of the tree in Emerald Green Shadow Ink. For the trunk, I first stamped it in Caramel Bold Ink. I then partially inked the trunk in Cup O' Joe Shadow Ink to add depth and texture. Next, I die cut the trunk and the tree top out with the matching dies.

I then cut a small panel out of Dove White Cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 3 1/8" and ink blended it with Splash Reactive Ink. I then adhered all my stamped and die cut images to the panel with precision glue and stamped a sentiment in Intens-ified Black Ink at the upper left.

Next, I cut another small panel out of Dove White measuring 4 3/8" x 3 1/4" and adhered my scene on top. I finished the card by adhering the scene onto a A2 card base made from Adriatic Cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed my card! Thank you so much for stopping by!

I like the created scene and how the tree is left to break free from the frame.
