December My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 and Giveaway!

December My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 and Giveaway!

We are back with another look at the December My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, December 4th at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more project inspiration! Now let’s join Ilina, who is sharing another look at this fabulous kit.

I hope you are enjoying all the projects you are seeing using this month's My Monthly Hero Kit. I love this kit and all the different possibilities. For my card today I decided besides the main kit to use one of the add-on dies (and I am pretty sure you'll love all the add-ons this month. They are AMAZING!) City Skyline Fancy die.

For my card today I started with piece of white card stock and did some ink blending using Cotton Candy, Orchid and Grape Juice ink pads for the sky and Caramel and Cup O'Joe ink pads for the ground. Once I was done with the blending I set my panel aside for the ink to dry completely.

I cut the skyline from Midnight Mix layering papers (Black) and adhered to the panel.

Next, I moved to the images. I stamped them with Intense Black ink and quickly embossed them (before the ink dried completely) with Ultra Fine embossing powder. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies (I cut the rug free hand) and colored with Copic markers. I colored the white outlines using matching colors, so the white doesn't stand out when adhered to the richly colored background.

Before I adhered the images I stamped the sentiment on the background using Versamark and embossed with White Embossing powder. I adhered the images, added stars using white paint pen and adhered my panel to a black note card.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, December 4th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for another look at this month's kit!
