Bring on the Sunshine

Hey everyone. It's Dana here with you today. Who needs a little sunshine in their life today? I have a beautiful and simple card using the Sun Pattern Bold Prints background stamp. I love these large stamps! They create beautiful backgrounds for your cards.

Let's get into the details of the card. I started out with Canary cardstock for my base color. I stamped the pattern in Intense Black ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Next I pulled out a few colors of Hero Arts ink in Butter Bar and Just Rust. These colors work perfectly with the Canary cardstock. I sponged on the Butter Bar towards the middle of the card. Right below this color I sponged on the Just Rust making sure to blend the inks. I set this panel aside to work on my sentiment.

For the sentiment I die cut a few sun shapes with the You Shine Frame Cuts in Canary cardstock. I stacked them together for added depth. Next I stamped a sentiment from the You Shine stamp set in the middle of the sun. To add some color to this piece, I sponged the edges with the left over ink I had in my blending tools.

I adhered the sun to my background piece. Placing a piece of Pumpkin cardstock under my pattern piece really makes the colors pop. Adhering these panels to a Dove White side folded card and adding a few Sunset enamel dots to my card and it was complete.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you to share a little bit of sunshine along the way today. See you back here soon.
