Alcohol Lift Ink with Celebrate Earth Bears

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a magical celebration card with the Celebrate Earth Bears wood block stamp add on from the December 2019 My Monthly Hero Release.

A beautiful alcohol inked background is the perfect backdrop for the Celebrate Earth Bears image. Alcohol Lift Ink gives a magical feeling to the card design.

The background was created by applying Pool, Stream, Denim, Amethyst, and Brass Alcohol Inks to Yupo paper. An airbrush tool was used to move the inks around before they dried. I moved the inks all in one direction to give a bit of the illusion of a magical sky or mountain range.

A greeting from the Universal Woman Stamp Set and the Celebrate Earth Bears image were stamped on the alcohol inked background with Alcohol Lift Ink. The greeting and image were lightly dabbed to remove excess ink and then gently buffed to remove the rest of the ink to reveal the image and sentiment.

"Stars" were created with a white gel pen.

The 4" x 5 1/4" panel was adhered to Hero Hues Nautical Cardstock with foam adhesive and then adhered to a white top fold card base to finish the design.

I hope this has inspired you to try lift ink techniques with your favorite stamp images. Thank you so much for joining me today!

I’ve been playing with alcohol inks lately and forgot to use my lift off ink. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card and the lift off ink technique.

Lagene,

WOWZERS! Awesome, it looks like a ghost bear or maybe you are in the arctic and see a bear in the distance and blink thinking it wasn’t really there then blink again……
