2018 Valentine's Collection Release Blog Hop

2018 Valentine's Collection Release Blog Hop

Today is an exciting day here at Hero Arts - we are launching our brand new Valentine's Collection in the Hero Arts store. It is the time that most of us are focused on the busy December holidays but Valentine's Day will be here before you know it! And you'll be looking for some fabulous new products for creating your Valentine's Day projects.

To get started you may want to flip through the our beautiful new catalog. You can see all of the new products and inspiring projects from Hero Arts artists to give you creative ideas. Or if you're ready to shop, you can find the entire collection in the store HERE.

Today we are joined by members of our Creative Team to hop and show you these new products. Please be sure to scroll down to learn more about the hop and the prizes we are giving away! But first, enjoy this fun card from Creative Team member Jayne Nelson:

Jayne: I was immediately drawn to the adorable images and sentiments in the new We Go Together stamp set. I'll be using this versatile and delightful set all year - not only to make valentines, but for making cute wedding, anniversary, and friendship cards. To make this valentine, I created a lilac card base and then stamped some of the food images from this set, with Orchid ink, on two, opposite corners.

Then, I cut three, rectangular pieces of white cardstock. Using Intense Black ink, I stamped a sentiment and a classic food pair onto each strip. After quickly coloring the images with markers, I secured them to an iris mat that I similarly secured to the card base. Next, I embossed the "We go together like" sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and added it to the card between the food panels with foam tape. I finished the card with three Ombre Purple sequins. Super easy and tons of fun!

And now it's time to hop! Be sure to visit each blog on the list and leave your comments -- we will be giving away three $25 gift cards to the Hero Arts Online Store, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Thursday, December 21st at 11:59 pm PT and we'll announce the winner next year.

I very much enjoy this card, but I have to admit, I now have the Grease song going through my head (“We go together like ramamlamalama kadinkity dinky dong…”). Anyway, I think my favorite part of the card is the tone-on-tone stamping that you did on the background. I really like how you just did it along the diagonal instead of creating an entire background; it just adds nice dimension to the card. Thanks so much for sharing and for putting together a great hop!
