All Strung Out Summer DIY Party Banner

It is always summer here in Arizona, but summer is also just around the corner for everywhere else. What better way to celebrate, but with flamingos, palms and a party! Create this easy DIY party banner for your next summer shindig, follow the simple steps below to create yours:
  1. Die-cut mat board and wood paper from larger Banner die. Die-cut mixed media paper from the same-shaped, smaller Banner due.
  2. Adhere wood paper to mat board.
  3. Use a Tool ‘N One with the sponge applicator to apply distress ink to die-cut mixed media paper.
  4. Mist paper lightly with water. Blot with paper towel.
  5. Die-cut sentiment from gold poster board. Adhere sentiment to banner using foam dots.
  6. Attach mixed media piece to Banner base with Velcro or foam dots.
  7. Die-cut Flamingo from pink, white and pink-glittered paper. Assemble and attach to Banner.
  8. Die-cut Monstera Leaves from various shades of green paper.
  9. Die-cut Palm Fronds from gold poster board.
  10. Adhere Fronds and Monstera Leaves onto Banner.
  11. Attach flowers to Banner.
  12. Adhere ribbon to back of Banner.
  13.  Adhere Crystal Drops or Pretty Pink Posh Clear droplets if desired.

I love using the S6-104 More Than Milk Carton Die (discontinued, similar product available - SR-0011 Milk Carton Steel Rule Die) for party favors because you can create them to match any theme and fill them with candy, confetti, etc… They’re so versatile and so easy to put together!

Instructions:

Easy DIY Fruit Themed Party Favors with Spellbinders! Create some fun, fruity party favors to bring a little extra sweetness to your summer gatherings this year! Print patterns onto appropriate colored paper. Red for strawberry, yellow for pineapple, pink for watermelon. If you are using a marker instead of a printer, draw seeds/pineapple pattern onto paper instead. Then, using a scissors, cut paper in half so you can make two milk cartons from each paper. Cut S6-104 More Than Milk Carton Die (discontinued, similar product available - SR-0011 Milk Carton Steel Rule Die and Platinum Die Cutting Machine) with each piece of patterned cardstock. Make sure that the seeds/pattern are facing the appropriate direction. Easy DIY Fruit Themed Party Favors with Spellbinders! At this time you can also cut strips of green paper for the watermelon rind. I cut the light green strips to 7″x.5″ and the green strips to 7″x.25″.
