Hello there! This is
Michelle Short and thank you for joining me today. I am delighted to be guesting here on the Spellbinders Blog for the next two days, sharing cards I have made using the
Wine Country Collection by
Stacey Caron.
What I love most about the collection is that all the sets work perfectly together, so you can mix and match elements from all of the different sets.
Cheers To You Card

My first card uses three sets from the collection. I started off by die-cutting the sentiment piece from the
Barrel of Sentiments set from Kraft cardstock. While I was die cutting, I also cut the leaves and grapes from the
Frame Charms set from white cardstock. All four of these die cuts were run through the
Platinum 6 Die Cutting & Embossing Machine again, using the embossing plate to get the lovely embossed details on them.

I took the sentiment banner piece and stamped the sentiment on to it from the
Vineyard Wine Bottle Tag set, using black ink. I then took an ink blending tool and Walnut Stain Distress Ink and added some definition around the edges. I also inked the leaves with Mowed Lawn and Forest Moss Distress Ink and the grapes with Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.

I took a white A2 card base and adhered a piece of woodgrain paper to the front. The sentiment panel was added on top with foam tape. I then added the leaves and grapes with liquid glue. To finish off, I added a few clear bubbles around the sentiment piece.
Celebrate Card

My next card uses the wonderful
Wine Snippets set. The set consists of fabulous frame dies in different sizes. I used the largest one for my card today. I die cut the frame twice from white cardstock that had double sided adhesive sheet on the back. Once die cut, I poked the pieces out using the
Tool ‘N One, this gets rid of the bits that are not needed really easily.

The frame pieces were stacked on top of each other and then on to a background piece made with alcohol inks. I shared how to create alcohol ink backgrounds in this
blog post. I used various shades of green alcohol ink, along with silver Metallic Mixative. I love how the frame looks on top of the alcohol ink background!

The piece was added to a 4.75” x 4.75” white square card base with tape runner. I then stamped the sentiment from the
Vineyard Wine Bottle tag set on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. This was cut down using a craft knife and ruler and then added to the card with foam tape.
