Video | Blooming Garden Inspiration | Romantic and Whimsical Layout with Anna
Aug 14, 2018
Hello crafty friends. My name is Anna Komenda and it’s my first time here on Spellbinders blog. I am so honored to be a Guest Designer with beautiful "Blooming garden" collection by Marisa Job. Let me quickly introduce myself. I live in Poland with my little family. I used to be a geologist but after my daughters were born I decided to become stay-at-home mom. I have been scrapbooking for almost a decade and I can’t imagine my life without weekly portion of cutting and glueing. Layouts and mini albums are my favorite type of projects. You can visit my on my blog or on Instagram. I also have a YouTube channel.
For my first inspirational post I created a layout. This is something you won’t see often here, at Spellbinders blog, because dies are usually used to make cards. I want to show you that they can be also easily used in scrapbooking projects. I was inspired by Swirl Happy Birthday Frame die to create a grid design type of a layout. I love how delicate and whimsical this frame is.
I started making my page by adding a layer of pink acrylic paint over my white cardstock background. I used four different pink patterned papers to cut four frames. They are the main point of my composition.
I placed my picture inside one of the frames and the title in the middle of the other one. I filled two empty frames with pretty embellishments.
I needed some small accent to appear on every frame to merge all the pieces into one composition. I decided to create small flowers using Rose Buds dies. This die set is so versatile and it can go with every paper collection you decide to use in your project. All you need is tiny scraps of paper. You can easily create both simple and more complex flowers.
