Tropical Flowers and Glimmer Hot Foil By Joy Baldwin

Hi crafty friends, my name is Joy Baldwin (aka Create It With Joy). I really love making cards and sharing them with you! If you want to check out more of my creations, head over to my blog. I am really excited about sharing these beautiful Tropical Flowers with you, so let’s get started.

Tropical Flowers and Glimmer Hot Foil By Joy Baldwin

I love tropical flowers and the Hibiscus and Plumeria flowers from Susan’s Tropical Getaway Collection are just stunning. I decided to pair these with Glimmer Hot Foil and they turned out so beautiful.

Tropical Flowers and Glimmer Hot Foil By Joy Baldwin

I started by die cutting my flower petals from Susan’s Specialty cardstock and coloring them with Copic Markers. I used YR01,02,04 R35 for the Hibiscus flowers. I die cut the leaves from Forest cardstock. For the Plumeria, I used Y02, RV14 for the petals and then E57,19 for the stems. Susan’s tool kit is a must for shaping the petals and leaves into these lifelike flowers.

I thought Glimmer Hot Foil would be beautiful with these flowers, so I foiled the backgrounds using Speckled Aura Foil and The Glimmer Framed Details Plate (falling leaves) and The Diamonetta Background Plate. I used Yana’s Sentiments with Gold Foil. I trimmed down each foiled card panel and adhered the flowers and sentiments. I then adhered that to a light gray A2 card panel.
