You’ll be seeing stars with today’s card making tips and tricks. Today in the Creative Classroom, Kim Kesti shares three ideas for creating a starry background on handmade cards.
Sky Full of Stars Card
Kim’s first card features the
Glimmer Hot Foil System. If you’re new to hot foiling, you’ll love the tips that Kim shares in this video tutorial. To begin this card, Kim started with
black Pearled Basics cardstock and the
Mini Rainbow Stripe Foil. Foiling the
Celestial Star Glimmer Plate twice onto the card base creates a shimmering rainbow of stars for the perfect background. A simple stamped sentiment with the
Starstruck Sentiments, plus sparkling gems, finish off this striking card.
We All Sparkle Card
The next two starry cards feature the
Star Bright stencil. This fabulous stencil provides so many opportunities for fun techniques. Used with
modeling paste and glitter, or liquid ink (like the
Liquid Colors Kim used) you can create stars in any color - or even a rainbow of colors.
