Season Label Motifs Collection – Card Inspiration with Annie Williams

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Seasonal Label Motifs Collection by Becca Feeken.  The beautiful label designs, gorgeous seasonal elements, and unique sentiments in this collection inspired me to create three pretty cards for a variety of occasions.

Fall Into Autumn Mini Slimline Card

The ornate label design and beautiful autumn accessories in the Fall Label Motifs Die Set caught my eye first.  Here I used a fun color palette with a pretty embossed background for this golden autumn mini slimline card.

  • Die cut a piece of Alabaster Cardstock with the largest die from the Precision Layering Mini Slimline A Die Set and emboss it using the Knock On Wood 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Mat the embossed panel with Mirror Gold Cardstock and adhere it to a top-folding white card base measuring 3.5” x 6.5”.
  • Die cut white and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the label dies from the Fall Label Motifs Die Set, adhere together with liquid glue, and add to the front of the card with foam adhesive.
  • Die cut Persimmon, Timber, Dune, Purple Mist, Lilac Blossom, and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the accessory dies from the Fall Label Motifs Die Set and assemble with liquid glue.
  • Stamp a sentiment from the Seasonal Motif Sentiments Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink, add gold embossing powder, and melt it with a heat tool. Trim the sentiment out into a small strip.
  • Arrange the pumpkin, acorns, and leaves on the card front and adhere down with liquid glue.
  • Add the sentiment to the bottom of the card with foam adhesive.

Summer Floral Mini Slimline Card

The label and butterfly designs in the Summer Label Motifs Die Set are so beautiful that I had to work with this one next.  Here I used bright summertime colors with a pretty leaf background for this cheerful floral mini slimline card.

  • Die cut white and Glacier Cardstock using the Sweet Leaf Mini Slimline Die Set and adhere the layers together with liquid glue.
  • Mat the die-cut background with Timber Cardstock and adhere it to a top-folding white card base measuring 3.5” x 6.5” with tape runner.
  • Die cut Timber, Beeswax, and white cardstock using the label dies from the Summer Label Motifs Die Set and adhere the layers together with liquid glue.
  • Add the layered label shape to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
  • Stamp a sentiment from the Seasonal Motif Sentiments Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink and trim it out into a small strip.
  • Die cut Persimmon, Terra Cotta, Timber, Saffron, Beeswax, Chamomile, and Rainforest Cardstock using the butterfly and flower dies from the Summer Label Motifs Die Set and assemble with liquid glue.
  • Add the sentiment to the center of the card with foam adhesive and then adhere the butterfly and flowers to the card front with liquid glue.

Winter Lantern Card

Lastly, I thought the lantern and light rays in the Holiday Label Motifs Die Set were so beautiful and would work great with the Radiant Burst Embossing Folder for a bright and pretty winter card.

  • Trim a piece of Raindrop cardstock to 4.” x 5.25” and emboss it with the Radiant Burst Embossing Folder.
  • Mat the embossed panel with Mirror Silver Cardstock and then adhere it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with a tape runner.
  • Die cut white, Glacier, and Mirror Silver Cardstock using the label dies from the Holiday Label Motifs Die Set, adhere together with liquid glue, and add the card front with foam adhesive.
  • Die the lantern using brown shimmer, white, and Beeswax Cardstock and assemble with liquid glue.
  • Die cut Phone Booth, Rainforest, and Beeswax Cardstock using the flowers and leaves from the Holiday Label Motifs Die Set.
  • Stamp a sentiment from the Seasonal Motif Sentiments Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink and trim it out into a small strip.
  • Add the lantern and flowers to the card front with liquid glue and foam adhesive.
  • Pop the sentiment up on the bottom of the card with more foam adhesive.

MaryH,

What a lovely card. The color combo suggest winter to me with that wonderful touch of the holidays.
