Hi, crafty friends! Lea Lawson here with you today, creating a colorful Halloween card featuring the Ghoulish Greetings Press + Foil + Die set. I wanted to share how you can ink blend over top of hot foil, without ruining the foiling! That is because the foil resists the ink, allowing any residual ink to easily wipe away once you are done ink blending.

Today I’m sharing my step-by-step process in easy-to-follow photos and instructions. I hope you find them helpful!

Turn on your Glimmer Hot Foil System, then let it heat up. Once the green indicator light notifies you that the platform is ready, place the Ghoulish Greetings press plates on it and hit the timer button.

While heating up, prep your Aura hot foil and white cardstock, and ready your plate sandwich.
TIP: I like to add a cardstock shim in the middle of the glimmer sandwich to help press plates foil more accurately.

Remove the platform from the base, then place the foil pretty side down on the hot foil plate. Place the white cardstock over top, then layer the plate sandwich on top and run through a Platinum 6 diecut machine.

Remove the release paper to reveal the foiling underneath.

Place the sentiment plate on the hot foil system, and repeat the process with Opaque Black foil.

Diecut the first foiled panel with an Essential Arch die.

Diecut white cardstock with the Color Block Accent Arches die, and Gold Mirror Metallic Treasured Cardstock with the coordinating Essential Arch die.

Diecut the foiled sentiments with the coordinating 1-piece die to complete the diecutting for this card.

Ink blend the foiled arch in a gradient from dark pink, to purple to dark blue.

Using the matching press plates to cover the foiling, splatter the ink-blended arch with Splatter White.

Cut & fold white A2 card base, then cover with Mulberry cardstock.

Adhere the white & mirror gold arches together with liquid glue.

Mount both arches to the card front with foam tape.

Mount the sentiment to the card front with thin foam strips.

Accent the card with Prism AB crystals to finish.
TIP: I find using the Precision Tool from the Handy Tool Kit helpful when adhering the tiny crystals to the card.
