Elegant Cards using the Garden Shutters Collection with Joy Baldwin

Hi crafty friends, my name is Joy Baldwin (aka Create It With Joy). I love making handmade cards and sharing them with you. If you want to check out more of my creations, head over to my blog. I’m excited to share three elegant cards with you today, using the Garden Shutters Collection by Becca Feeken.

It is so easy to make an elegant card, especially with dies that have beautiful detail. I also added gold touches to each of the cards to add some more elegance to the design. I hope you enjoy!

Eyelet Lace Frame Card

All of the images are die cut from components of the Garden Shutters Collection. The first card is a 5x7 card using the Eyelet Lace Frame. I die cut it from gold mirror cardstock along with gold sparkle cardstock. The flowers and sentiment are from the Primrose Heart Facade die. I cut them from white cardstock and used Copic markers to add a little bit of color. I wanted the flowers to be white so I used a C2, C1 marker to add a little bit of shading and I used G24,43 for the greenery. I loved the font of the sentiment and thought it would be striking to use black for that.

Butterfly Bliss Card

The next card is an A2 size card. I used the center piece from the Eyelet Lace Frame and die cut that from white cardstock. I cut a piece of black cardstock to mat behind it and added the oval center piece die cut from gold glitter cardstock. I used the butterflies from the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters die. I die cut the bases from gold mirror cardstock and then the detail pieces from patterned paper. I added a gold embossed sentiment to the center.

Daisy Delight Card

The last card is also an A2 size card. I used the Daisy Delight Garden Shutters die. I kept this card simple by die cutting the intricate die from gold mirror cardstock three times, popping the center piece up with foam tape and added purple daisies around the gold embossed sentiment.

Beverly Fuchs,

Each of your cards are very different, from the elegant to the whimsical to the clean and simple. Each one is lovely in their unique way.

MaryH,

Love the eyelet frame and I really enjoy the active cards because the kids love them. Great job…
