Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Inspiration | Better with Coffee Card with Jean
Aug 31, 2018
Hello everyone. This is Jean Manis, and I am back on the blog with a third project showcasing the Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Collection by Sharyn Sowell. In case you missed my previous posts, you can find them here and here. Today, I have a coffee-themed card showcasing the Cup and Beans set.
On this CAS card, I used the design principles of repetition and proportion, along with the design element of color. The dies in the Cup and Beans set can be used to create big cups, small cups, and in between!
I die cut the coffee cups using the Cup and Beans set from white and red cardstock. I cut the beans from brown cardstock. To create the coffee cup handles, I nested the circle dies in the set.
I adhered the cup handles to the backs of the coffee cups and adhered the assembled cups and the beans to the card base, on to which I had stamped a coffee-themed sentiment.
The principle of repetition brings unity and cohesiveness to this card design, while the change in size and color of the coffee cups adds variety and playfulness.
