Classics March Inspiration | Colorful Floral Card with Kaja
Mar 15, 2018
Hi there, it's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today and I am back at Spellbinders blog as a guest designer for this week. As I've already mentioned in the first project I shared this week, I am using dies from a brand new Classics March release on all of the cards I share with you here.
When I saw the Fancy Edged Circles I immediately thought that the smallest die reminders me of a flower, so I went with it and made a card filled with flowers.
I started by die cutting the smallest scalloped circle from 5 different colors of card stock and I made 4 flowers from each color. I went with rainbow colors, so red, orange, yellow, green and soft blue. After die cutting circles I added a dot of White Opal Ranger Liquid Pearls to each of them so make it actually look like flowers.
Meanwhile the dots were drying I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the biggest rectangle from Scored and Pierced Rectangles set.
Next, I cut down a piece of gray cardstock that I glue directly on the card base. Then, I used black ink to stamp the sentiment ‘Happy Birthday’ on the same gray paper. I die cut it using the coordinating die.
After that, I checked on my flowers and dots of liquid pearls had dried by then, so I started gluing them down on the white rectangle that I die cut earlier. I went in rainbow order, starting by red on top and finishing it with blue at the bottom.
The only thing left to do was to glue down the white panel and the sentiment that I popped up with foam tape.
