Watermark Backgrounds with Reactive Ink Reinkers

Did you see the release of all 15 colors of Reactive Ink Reinkers last week? Not only are they awesome for keeping your ink pads nice and juicy, you can also use them on their own for some fun techniques.

Today I've created a some simple backgrounds using our Clear Embossing + Watermark Ink along with the reinkers. First, I stamped several different cling backgrounds onto watercolor paper with the Watermark Ink and dried them with my heat tool. Then I put a couple drops of the reinker fluid onto a craft sheet, added a few squirts of water and then painted over the stamped images with a water brush.

For more intense colors you can layer more color on top and for lighter backgrounds just add more water to your ink. Once the ink dries, you will be left with a beautiful subtle watermark background.

I decided to die-cut the panels using several shapes of Infinity Dies to create some simple mini cards. These cards measure 3"x4" and are perfect for that quick note to brighten someone's day.

I wanted to add a little shine to the die-cut pieces, so I pulled out my Perfect Pearls. I used a paint brush to brush on the Perfect Pearls over the whole piece and then used a dry cloth to wipe off the panel. The Perfect Pearls will only stick to the stamped area with the Watermark Ink.

I stamped the sentiments with Intens-ified Black Ink and I now have a new favorite black ink. It's crisp and bold with just one impression...perfection!

To finish things off, I embellished each card with some of our new Enamel Dots. Love how they coordinate so well with these inks!

I've been playing a lot with these reinkers over the past week and have created some really cool backgrounds. I love how they can be another color medium in your craft supplies in addition to a reinker for your Reactive Ink pads.
