VIDEO: Ribbon Framed Birthday Card featuring the March Card Kit

Hello all! It's Channin here and I'm so happy to be back on the blog with a birthday card and video featuring the March Card Kit of the Month.

In today's video I will walk you through the entire contents of this month's March Card Kit as well as create a pretty card with the Ribbons Cover Plate Die and Thin Stripes Stencil from the kit.

To create this card I first die cut an A2 panel of Kiwi Hero Hues Cardstock with all the dies from the Ribbons Cover Plate Die. I then colored the ribbon frame and all the parts for the layered bow with alcohol markers to make it look more three dimensional.

After I colored the ribbon frame and bow I then cut the ribbon frame free from the rest of the panel. Next, I die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock with the cover plate die from the Ribbons Cover Plate Die Set. I then adhered the Kiwi ribbon frame to the white ribbon panel. Next, I trimmed down some Mint cardstock (included in the kit) to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I then placed the Thin Stripes Stencil over the panel and then ink-blended with Green Apple Core Ink.

Next, I throughly dried the panel with my heat tool then I stamped a couple sentiments from the Bows & Messages Stamp Set in Unicorn White Pigment Ink. I then poured Detail White Embossing Powder over the sentiments and heat set with my heat tool. Next, I adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Lastly, I finished the card by adhering the ribbon frame and the bow to the card front with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my card and video. Thank you so much for stopping by!!
