Tone-on-Tone Arch Pattern

Hello there, Michelle here and today I have a card to share using the new Arch Pattern Bold Prints which was released as an add-on product for the February 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit. This background stamp has so many possibilities on ways to use it but I love tone-on-tone stamping, so used that for my card today.

Thank You Butterfly by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I started off by taking a panel of the new Lavender cardstock (which be available to purchase in the shop on the 15th February) and stamped the Arch Pattern Bold Prints on to it with Versamark ink. I then set this piece to dry.

I took one of the butterfly images from the new Deco-rations stamp set and stamped this on to white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I coloured the image with Copic Markers and die cut with the coordinating frame cuts. I then took the sentiment from the Diamond In The Ruff set, masked off the bottom wording and stamped the 'thank you' part with Versamark Ink on to black cardstock. I applied White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and cut the piece down to a small strip.

The background panel was adhered flat to a white A2 card base with tape runner. I then adhered the butterfly and sentiment on to a vellum piece that was cut using one of the Tag Frames Infinity Dies. I added adhesive to the back of the vellum piece making sure that it was behind the butterfly and sentiment only and then adhered it down on to the card.

I just love that tone-on-tone background! Thank you so much for stopping by today, happy stamping!

Wow Michelle, what an awesome background. The VersaMark gives realy a beautiful darker Lavendel colour to the cardstock, great idea!
I love the stunning background stamp and the gorgeous Butterfly.
