September My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

September My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome as we continue the countdown to the release of the September My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Tuesday, September 4th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. This month we are one day later than normal due to the Labor Day holiday, so the kit releases tomorrow instead of today. Now let's join Michelle for another look at this wonderful kit.

Hello there, I hope you have been enjoying the countdown so far. I absolutely love the autumnal feel of the kit this month. Fall, or autumn, as we call it in the UK, is one of my favourite seasons. I love to see the leaves on the trees change colour and everything starts feeling more cosy. Although this kit leads itself to rich colours, I still wanted to keep my card quite light and airy.

Best Wishes by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I started off by stamping one of the vases from the main stamp set on to white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I made a mask for this and then stamped the lantern plant/Physalis on top. The mask was removed and the image coloured using Copic Markers. I fussy cut the image out, but there are dies included in the kit for both images, I just wanted the image to be one piece.

I took a white card base and embossed three circle dies from the Nesting Infinity Circles Dies on to the front panel. I then stamped the sentiment on top. The image was added with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few sequins from the Champagne and Sunshine mixes.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Tuesday morning, September 4, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good luck and happy stamping!

I love the embossed circle impressions what a great idea. I think the lantern plant was the favorite of all the design team and it’s nice to see how everyone interpreted it in a different way.

I love the light coloring effect – although the plant reminds me of autumn, it is a design applicable to other seasons.

I simply adore this design and this wonderful image.
Great job fussy cutting! I love when it actually looks
like the flower stem is in the vase.
