Hero Arts Blog

Rainbows + Mail = Happy Mail

Rainbows + Mail = Happy Mail

Hello there and welcome to another project on the Hero Arts blog. We are so happy you have joined us today! Let's be real. You and I both know that handwritten notes are dying. Long gone are the days that children learn cursive in school. How to address and format letters is quickly glossed over. Given that, it makes those handwritten notes (cursive or not) and handmade cards just that much more special when they show up in the mailbox unexpectedly. Add a rainbow? Shazam! Someone is smiling!

To create this project set up Mail Jumble cling into a MISTI stamp positioner. Stamp onto and A2 smooth bristol paper panel in Intense Black. Stamp again with Versamark and heat emboss clear.

Using a rainbow of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers fill in the bottom left of an envelope and then blend color across with a brush dampened with clear water. Fun note: the Peek-A-Boo Doors die coordinates with Mail Jumble to create opening windows. You may even have it in your stash already being that it originally came out to coordinate with the Presents Background. You never know, the designers at Hero Arts may be dreaming up more coordinates for it too!

Stack and adhere 3 die cut Nesting Infinity Hearts with Precision Glue. Then adhere to center of watercolor panel. Stamp sentiment in black, trim and pop in place with dimensional adhesive. Adhere finished panel to Dove White folded card base.

My suggestion: before you even put all your supplies away, write a note inside the card. Address and seal it within a matching envelope, and mail it! So often we make these beauties and tuck them away for later... mail them! No better day than today to brighten a mood!

Love this Janette and I am so happy to know that the stamp does coordinate with the Peek a Boo Doors die – I was asking myself if it might.
So come on designers – we want more like this!!!

Lillian,

I did use one color per block. No colors are repeated throughout on the envelopes. Thank you for your question!

I bought this stamp and I am having so much fun coloring it. It is a winner!

Did you use one color on each block, and wash it with water? I really like the look. Thanks, Lee

Awesome Janette, I love the rainbow card your made with this stunning background stamp. The sentiment is great, wish I had seen it before, I just sent a card to a friend, just because I wanted no special occasion and found it hard what to put on as sentiment.
Thank you for sharing and have a great day.
