Quick & Easy Floral Frame

Hi crafty friends! It's Jeannie and today, I'm sharing a card that features the Color Layering Holly Branch stamp set to make a quick and easy holiday card using a stamp positioner.

To create this card, I started with a piece of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock along with Intens-ified Black ink in my Mini MISTI. I tend to see floral images as is or as a frame...the latter is what I immediately thought about. In my Mini MISTI, I used the Holly Branch image in the top left hand corner of my panel, stamped, and then flipped my card panel to stamp again. Then I lined up the Holly Branch image again in the bottom left corner, stamped, flipped the panel, and repeated, making it so easy to finish off the floral frame.

Because my Holly Branch image is in the same place on two locations on my panel, I was able to stamp the leafy solid images with Moss Core Ink in the top left hand corner, flip the panel, and stamp again without having to line it up a second time. Then I did the same with the Holly Branch at the bottom left corner and repeated. It quickly colors up the leafy bits. I did the same with the berries, using Crimson Core Ink. It was so easy to "color" the image up!

I nested and stamped the "Happy Holidays" sentiment using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink in the middle of the frame and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. Gold just adds to the festive feel to the card. Additionally, I took another piece of Deluxe Smooth White, adding Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink on the edges, and added Gold Embossing Powder. I heat set it and it's the perfect panel to mat my main card panel right on top of.

I used the Medium Blending Brushes along with Moss Core Ink to ink blend on the edges of my main card panel. I was a bit impatient and the Crimson Core Ink didn't dry fully and it blended out in some area – I didn't hate it at all! I thought it actually made it look pretty cool!

I hope you can take this idea and run with it using this Color Layering Holly Branch stamp set or a floral image from any set in your crafty stash. Thank you for stopping by!
