Peek-A-Boo Valentine

Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a fun Peek-a-Boo card featuring the Chocolate Candy Cling stamp and messages from the V-Day Mini Messages stamp set. This interactive card has 24 little doors that open to reveal hidden messages for your loved one!

To start this card, I cut a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Lavender cardstock. Using a blending brush, I blended Grape Juice Mid-Tone Shadow Ink over the bottom two-thirds of the card, concentrating the color at the bottom and letting it fade out at the top third of the card. I let the panel dry for a bit and then treated it liberally with an anti-static powder tool to prepare it for heat embossing. I used Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink to stamp the Chocolate Candy Cling stamp over the panel. Then, I poured white embossing powder over the panel and melted the embossing powder with a heat gun.

Next, I aligned the doors of the Peek-A-Boo Doors Fancy Die over the background panel chocolate pattern and then ran it through my die cut machine. I gently folded back each door, creasing along the score lines that the die created, and then glued the panel (making sure not to glue any of the doors closed) onto a piece of Dove White cardstock. Using a small acrylic block and Onyx Pigment Ink, I stamped messages from the V-Day Mini Messages stamp set inside each door, onto the Dove White cardstock beneath. I also stamped the heart from the stamp set twice behind little doors, once in Orchid Hybrid Ink and once in Grape Juice Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. To finish, I adhered the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
