November My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the November My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, November 6th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We'll be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will also be available on Monday. And, remember to comment on each and every post as we'll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches! Now join Clare as she shares a two projects using this beautiful kit...

There are lots of great things about this kit, but the main thing for me is its versatility. Of course, it's perfect for making tags, but it's so easy to put your own spin on it, as I did here...

For my tag-on-tag-on-tag project, I started by die cutting Kraft paper with the Tag Infinity dies, and then stamping the Snowflake Pattern background in some beautiful Delicata Celestial Copper ink (from the kit). Then I stamped two snowflakes from the kit stamp set in Peach Ombre, and die cut them using the coordinating dies. I adhered that to the kraft tag, and then added a sentiment by heat embossing another tag from Holiday Badges in White, and then die cutting with the Circle Infinity dies.

I finished off the tag with some black gems and some silk ribbon. But see how pretty this Delicata ink is! It's so shimmery and beautiful - much more so in real life, but this one little angle shot might give you an idea. ;)

However, the kit is also perfect for making some quick Christmas cards...

I stamped the snowflake image again in Peach Ombre on a white card base, and then added some details with smaller snowflake images stamped in Delicata Celestial Copper.

I stamped the sentiment from Joy Stamp &Cut, topped the card off with some golden gems, and that finished off the card! Super quick and easy, but the Ombre and Delicata inks add some more visual interest.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, November 6th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back later today for another look at this month's kit!

Great ideas and materials.

Vikki H,

Love the peach ombré!

Em Kay,

Copper and gold as mixed metals are so on trend. And snowflakes never go out of style!

Roxanne Anderson,

Love your tag idea

kathleen dumpert,

I’m so happy to see unusual colors on this. Standard winter and Christmas colors get old after a while.
